From my observations, exceptional education students are under a great deal of
pressure.  So much information is forced down their throats, and they are expected
to retain an incredible amount of data.   Now with the FCAT and state and county
regulations, the students are introduced to even more information and the teachers
are limited as to how much time they can spend on any one subject.  Seeing what
these children go through and what a struggle it can be, is what helped me decide
to become a teacher and made me choose the middle elementary grades.

Our children truly are our future and as educators
it is up to us to stimulate their learning potential
and help them to excel.

It is my obligation as a teacher to discover my
students potential, and I commit to helping them
exceed their educational expectations.
My teaching style is to make learning fun.  I incorporate all
the modalities.  I want my kids to touch it, hear it, taste it and
feel it whenever possible because I don't believe that they
can really learn it just from reading it.  (Especially if their
disabilities make reading difficult.)  My students are hands
on in every lesson and technology is abounding.  Most
importantly, I start with the basics.  How can I expect them to
shoot for the stars if they don't even know what the rocket
is?
Yes, I want to
see more!
I want to learn more about you!
